MOTHER NATURE SETS A FINE FORECAST FOR BRIDGEPORT’S BRAY MEMORIAL ON
NOVEMBER 19 AND 20

BRIDGEPORT, NJ (November 17, 2011) - Finally, Mother Nature does seem
to be a fan of racing. After a season filled with unfavorable
forecasts and wet conditions, the weather outlook for Bridgeport
Speedway’s Charlie Bray Memorial event on November 19 and 20 is
looking fine. With seasonal temperatures predicted and no rain on the
horizon, the final racing weekend of the year should be pleasant for
teams and fans. This annual season finale at the southern New Jersey
dirt track facility honors the late Nazareth Speedway Promoter and
Bridgeport Speedway Official who passed away suddenly on December 8,
2008.

The two day event gets cranked up on Saturday, November 19 with
qualifying for the Super Late Models and Bridgeport Modifieds on the
big 5/8th mile dirt track. A 25-lap main event for the Super Late
Models with $3000 granted to the winner and the previously postponed
$2500 to win 25-lap Bridgeport Modified feature from the Wingate
Classic show will be staged. On the quarter mile, a complete show for
open Modifieds takes place with heat races and a 25-lap main event
paying $1000 to the victor. An Allied Recycling Demolition Derby
finalizes Saturday’s activity at the Charlie Bray Memorial.

On Sunday, November 20, Big Block Modified heat and consolation races
occur prior to a $3000 to win 25-lap feature. After Saturday’s
qualifying contests, another 25-lap Bridgeport Modified feature occurs
with a potential of $1200 going to the winner if more than 30 cars
attempt to compete. The Fallen Friend Fifteen will feature the
Proformance Cuts Outlaw Stock cars in honor of Proformance Cuts owner
Marty Kulesza who passed away suddenly on October 25. Rounding out the
program will be the TSRS Sprint Cars and Vintage Stock cars. All of
Sunday’s action occurs on the outer oval.

On Saturday November 19, the pit area opens for competitors at 10:00
a.m. with the grandstand gates unlatching at 11:00 a.m. Warm-ups hit
the track at noon with racing immediately following.

On Sunday November 20, all gates unlock at 10:00 a.m. A pre-race pit
party for all stock car classes and a driver re-draw is scheduled for
10:45 a.m. at the pavilion behind the main grandstand. Warm-ups hit
the track at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday with action starting shortly
afterward.

A 2-day general admission pass may be purchased for $45 and a single
day grandstand ticket can be secured for $25. Kids 12 and under are
admitted for free to the grandstand. Plenty of giveaways are planned
for this event as well. A 2-day pit admission pass is available for
$60 and a single day wristband to the pits can be purchased for $40.
No pit license is required for the Charlie Bray Memorial event.

The rules for this race weekend have been simplified. Any legal 13 x
92 Modified tire can be used for competition in the Big Block
Modified, open Modified and Bridgeport Modified divisions on this
weekend. No weight rule will be in force for Saturday’s open Modified
event on the quarter mile and sail panels are permitted.

For Sunday’s Big Block Modified race, any Big Diamond/Grandview legal
358 Small Block or DIRT legal 358 Small Block must weigh a minimum of
2350 pounds to compete in the Big Block Modified division. Legal 467
Big Block Motors and any Big Small Block engines must weigh 2500.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest
Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile
dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and
is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania
and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
