URC RISLONE SPRINTS MAKE FINAL VISIT OF 2011 AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SATURDAY NIGHT
The Rislone URC Sprint Series will be in action this Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway for their final visit of 2011. In URC's previous visit to the Delaware International Speedway, Ed Aikin dominated the twenty-five lap feature to score his first win of the season and fifth career URC victory. The Saturday night URC run will be a key event for seven time URC Champion Curt Michael as he looks to nail down his eighth title. Michael has one win, that coming at the Lincoln Speedway joined but numerous top ten finishes that have him sitting in the point lead of the season long championship chase. Runner-up in the point chase is JJ Grasso a four time winner this season. Josh Weller, Randy West and Robbie Stillwaggon make up the top five in the point standings.
The URC season finale for URC will take place at the Grandview Speedway in the Pioneer Pole Buildings feature event. $3,000 will go to the winner of the feature thanks to PPB. This features only program is part of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Halloween Party event on Saturday night, October 15. Viper Venom will sweeten the pot even further, offering a $1,000 bonus to the highest finishing car that is fueled by Viper Venom and displays a Viper Venom decal. So there is a possible $4,000 first place prize. Race time is set for 6 PM and in the event, Sunday, October 16 will be the rain date and carry a 4 PM starting time.
