Yuengling Brewery Signs On To Sponsor Big Diamond Speedway Scoreboard, 'Yuengs & Wings' Night Friday July 8 Featuring URC Sprints & Modifieds



MINERSVILLE, PA - Looking for a Friday night out, complete with entertainment, beer and wings? Mark your calendar for Friday, July 8 at Big Diamond Speedway.



Yuengling Brewery of Pottsville, Pa., has signed on as a marketing partner with the Minersville, Pa., clay oval for the 2011 season. Yuengling serves as the headline sponsor of the first 'Yuengs & Wings' event slated for July 8.



On the track, the winged 360 Sprint Cars of the Rislone URC series visit Big D for their only appearance of 2011. The headline 358-Modifieds also take part in the program with high sail panels permitted in addition to standard windows. The two-division program should be a highlight of the upcoming season in Coal Country.



Off the track, The Station House of Llewellyn, Pa., sponsors the first Big Diamond Speedway hot wing eating contest. The wing eating contest will be timed and held in the grandstand area prior to the start of racing that night.



Yuengling, 'America's Oldest Brewery,' returns to sponsor the speedway's large lap counter and scoreboard located off the second turn.



Big Diamond Speedway opens its 39th season Sunday, April 3 with a 35-lap, $3,000-to-win special for 358-Modifieds plus Sportsman and Roadrunners starting at 5 p.m. An open practice is scheduled for Sunday, March 27.



Before the roar of engines in Schuylkill County, the Fairlane Village Mall in Pottsville, Pa., hosts the Big Diamond Speedway Race Car Show March 7-12. Registration is underway online at http://www.bigdiamondspeedway.net/ and http://www.bdmotorsportsmedia.com/. Space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
