Mid-Atlantic Championships Coming To Georgetown Speedway Friday-SaturdayNovember 4-5; Big-Block Modifieds, Small-Block Modifieds, Super Late Models Headline Nine Divisions Of Racing!


GEORGETOWN, DE – A two-day event to please the tastes of race fans is coming to Georgetown Speedway on Friday-SaturdayNovember 4-5.
The Mid-Atlantic Championships take over the historic half-mile oval with nine divisions of racing to close out a highly successful 2016 season. The Mid-Atlantic Championships are sure to draw some of the Northeast’s top talent to Delmarva.

Modifieds, big- and small-block varieties, will be featured prominently during the weekend. 
Big-block Modifieds battle for a $4,000 winner’s share with $400 reserved to take the green flag in a 40-lap event on Saturday. Heat races for the big-blocks will be run on Friday, with consolations and the main event on Saturday.
Small-block Modifieds headline Friday’s program with a 30-lap feature paying $3,000 to win and $300 to take the green flag.
Fan-favorite Super Late Models will, like their big-block counterparts, race for $4,000 to win and $400 to take the green flag. The Super Late Model main takes place on Saturday night, with heats on Friday night
Other classes taking part in the event are Crate 602 Sportsman (Friday only), Crate Late Models (Saturday only), Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks (complete programs Friday and Saturday), Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars (Saturday only) and Little Lincolns (Saturday only). 
Sunday (November 6) and the weekend of November 18-19 will be utilized in the event of inclement weather.

Georgetown Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1949, is located at the intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
