Big Diamond Speedway Practice Postponed To Next Friday March, 27

Practice postponed. See details below.
Big Diamond Speedway Back In Action Friday, March 27 With Open Practice & Enduro; 44th Season Opener Planned For Sunday, March 29
Next weekend, the first on-track activity of the 2015 season is set for the Schuylkill County track, with an Open Practice session planned for Friday, March 27. Promoter Jake Smulley has pushed the practice session back to the 27th due to saturated grounds. He opted for Friday night in lieu of Saturday so as... to not conflict with events at Grandview (Pa.) and Bridgeport (N.J.).
On March 27, gates will open at 6 p.m. Open practice will begin at 7:45 p.m. Grandstand admission is free for the public. Pit admission is $25. All race vehicles, subject to safety inspection, are welcome to participate.
Pit licenses, season passes, etc. will be available during the practice session.
Following the completion of practice, a 60-lap Enduro is planned on Friday night. All cars, four-, six- and eight-cylinder varieties, will be invited to participate. Pit access is $25. There is a $30 car registration fee. Grandstand admission for the Enduro is $5 for Adults. Kids under 12 and active military with ID will be admitted free of charge.
Two days later, the 44th annual Season Opener takes place on Sunday, March 29.
The event is headlined by Open Competition (big-block vs. small-block) Modifieds in a 30-lap event paying $3,500 to win and $300 to take the green flag. Sportsman will run 20 laps with $1,000 reserved for the winner. Street Stocks (20 laps, $500 to win) and Roadrunners (20 laps, $300 to win) complete the Opening Day card.
Gates will open at 1:30 p.m. Hot laps are planned for 3:30 p.m. and racing gets underway at 4 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $20 for Adults. Kids 12 and under and active military with ID will be admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $30 for Big Diamond Speedway members and $40 for non-members.
