QUAKER STEAK & LUBE TAKES LEAD SPONSOR ROLE OF THE DIRT TRACK HEROES CAR SHOW

Quaker Steak & Lube, or The Lube® to loyalists, the award-winning casual dining concept known for its Best Wings USA and over 25 signature sauces, has signed on as the lead sponsor for the 8th Annual Dirt Track Heroes Car Show to take place at the Phillipsburg, NJ Mall, Route 22 East from March 1 to March 7.    Along with their involvement at this popular free to public race car show, watch for Quaker Steak & Lube to be participating at the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series events at the Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA as well as the Jersey Rush annual event at the New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ.

The original restaurant was built in 1974 in an abandoned gas station, decorated with license plates and old muscle cars.   Originally a “cook-your-own-steak” establishment, The Lube’s signature dish is now its chicken wings and the variety of sauces used to season them.   The name is a play on that of the motor oil company Quaker State.

There are over 65 restaurant locations, operating in eastern Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Colorado, Louisiana and Florida as well as western and central Pennsylvania.

The Pohatcong (Phillipsburg, NJ) Quaker Steak & Lube is located at 1304 US Route 22 Phillipsburg, NJ, and invites all race fans to stop by their location when visiting the Dirt Track Heroes Car Show.   When visiting this location, guests will notice the Bob Pickell #300 proudly on display.

“We know the Dirt Track Heroes Car Show is an extremely popular event, and we’re excited to be signing on as the title sponsor,” said Nelson Gonzalez, Marketing Manager of Quaker Steak & Lube in New Jersey.    “Our restaurants recognize and salute the racing heroes of the past, present and future, so it’s a natural fit for us. We look forward to showcasing our Quaker Steak & Lube car and getting involved with the show and local racing action in 2015.”

There are two other Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants in the State of New Jersey, one at 561 US Highway 1 in Edison, NJ and 1036 Cedar Bridge Avenue in Brick, NJ.

The 8th Annual Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Car Show has a busy seven days in the planning with opening day set for Sunday, March 1.   Numerous race cars from various divisions of racing will be on display with a full week of nightly special events and interviews.   In the 2014 edition of the show, more than 300 interviews took place during the week.   Especially popular is the round table discussion when many of the legend drivers share special and unique stories that took place on and off the track.  The show also offers a large display of racing memorabilia, collectibles and photos and again, it is absolutely free to the public.
