Sicklerville, NJ (November 17, 2014) – Competing in the Big Block Modified Poker Series and season finale at Bridgeport Speedway, Mike Barone’s quest for a strong run in the 40-lap feature was impeded by a flat tire.
Barone was stout from the beginning of the event. In the first of three heat races, the driver from Hillsborough, NJ finished third in the event and qualified for the feature redraw. After picking the seventh starting spot, Barone got shuffled back a few spots at the start of the event. As he was just beginning to find his rhythm, contact from another competitor on the sixth circuit created a flat right rear tire on his Bicknell Modified. Returning to the track with a new American Racer tire, Barone was able to complete the rest of the race and crossed the finish line in sixteenth place.
With this season complete, preparations are underway for 2015. Mike Barone Racing is looking for marketing partnerships and has several packages available designed to fit any budget.
